THE EVER GROWING CHALLENGES OF MY JOB

A little over last year, I needed to change jobs as my old job was getting more boring by the day, I would go to work and do absolutely nothing all day, I got so tired of sleeping and waking up and sleeping again, I feared that the grey matter in my head had turned to water and leaked away, I prayed to God to give me a better and a more challenging job (with better pay of course)... little did I know that God was going to grant that request wella...

Few days later, a friend mentioned that a friend of hers was looking for someone to manage his business, wow! Lord this is a total answer to my prayer I quickly thought...I told my friend I was interested and that she should arrange a meet, and before I could say 'interview' I got the job...

First day on the job I fell sick, I was so sick for days, why? The stress was unbelievable, I was so stressed up waking up in the morning became a chore, I didn't feel like going for the job I had prayed so earnestly for, sometimes challenges will just want to overwhelm me but thanks to the ONE who gave me the job, he never left me even for a second, there were times it looked as if he was very far away from me but he never left me.

Well, the tori long oooooo...I've had all kinds of experiences in my one year on this job, it's absolutely impossible to share all now but I promise to share it all on future posts...and trust me they are real challenges.

Do take care of  you and others,
love,
meee...

FACTS ABOUT VAGINAL ODOUR.

A friend sent this post to me this morning, after reading it I thought should share this here, I learnt some things from it and I know you will too. Please do same and share after reading, you might just help someone and guys please don't think it's for girls only, we all need to know about this.

Okay.. let's face it..a healthy vagina usually has some sort of smell, even if to you it may smell normal, to another it may have a certain smell not so pleasant. Now here are certain pointers to take note of:

1. If your vagina smells musky, it's PROBABLY as a result of sweating and physical stress- e.g exercise. So  bathe regularly.

2. If it smells like bleach/chlorine, it's probably because of lubricants used during sex, condoms also can give that smell. There's nothing to worry about.

3. If it smells fishy, you probably got BV (bacteria vaginosis), if you've got greenish discharge plus foul odour- it's probably trichomoniasis. Please see your doctor.

4. If it smells like bread plus a discharge that looks like cottage cheese, you probably got yeast infection.

5. Everything you eat and drink has got an effect on the smell of your vagina. Generally, whatever has a bad smell makes the vagina Smell bad and vice versa. Pineapple, oranges, grapefruits for instance could make it smell nice while coffee, alcohol, onions and garlic could have your vagina smelling awful....hmmm.

In addition to all these, always make sure not to wear too tight fitting undies or trousers, your vagina needs to breathe, a sweaty vagina is a bacteria hub.

Plus, always take yoghurt, it helps the build up of  "good bacterium" (vagina's defense mechanism) down there... also, if you observe a strong smell that doesn't seem to go away within 2 days (despite increased fluid intake), see a doctor.

Lest I forget, you need not wear your panties to bed, we need that place smelling fresh at all times, always let it breathe sweeties....*wink*

EVERY WOMAN NEEDS THIS INFORMATION SO PLEASE SHARE IT.

MY WEIGHT LOSS ISSUES AND CHALLENGES

" Oh Lord!! I need to lose weight". That has been my prayers or should I call it a wish for about a year now.

Now don't get me wrong, I love me! Every single bit of me, from my pretty face to my "k legs"  #covers face#...but in my early adulthood I started adding weight, at first it was a welcome development as I was stick thin as a child but later on I realized I had added too much weight and now by the calculation of my BMI, I am overweight!

...so I decided to lose weight, I went from yo-yo dieting to an extreme method of locking my jaw by a dentist so I won't be able to eat solid food but after three days of excruciating pain, I could bear it no longer and off I went to unlock the teeth. I decided now to eat fruits and vegetables only but for where? I'm not disciplined enough.

I'm sooo tired, I need to lose some of this weight o so I am healthy and do not develop all those terrible diseases I hear are associated with too much weight gain plus I don't want to be out of shape.

PS: Did i mention that I hate exercises too.

Please somebody, anybody, HELP!!!

CHEATING IN A RELATIONSHIP: ACCUSED?

I do know that this topic has literally been overflogged but this is not a post on ways to spot a cheater or any such thing, this is very personal to me because i am in a relationship and these things have a way of popping up when you least expect it.
You know that akward moment when a harmless call from an old friend comes into your phone and you innocently pick up and gist away not knowing that your partner is fuming away and as soon as you hang up, "who was that" is the next question that hits you and you launch into an explanation wondering in your heart what the problem really is?
I do know that trust has a huge role to play in every relationship if not you can only go that far, afterall what is the essence of being with someone you don't trust but that is a topic for another day.
Now to the main issue, have you been wrongly accused of cheating in your relationship even when you know that you haven't and will never do and all explanation fell on deaf ears? Besides trust, what else do you think is responsible for this and how did you overcome it?
Please feel free to share your stories here and your comments are really apreciated.
Stay blessed.

WELCOME TO OUR STRUGGLES AND OUR VICTORIES BLOG

Why the name : our  struggles and  our victories? Why did I not name this blog after myself or something else that may sound "sweeter" to the ears?

The reason is simple .... I as an individual can relate to the title of this blog as I have had my own share of ups and downs, I've lost some battles and I've won a great number of them too, I still face challenges daily because "those" never stop coming but I've learnt to face each day with renewed zeal, trust and hope.

" Conditions are never perfect, "someday" is a disease that will take your dreams to the grave with you. If it's important to you and you want to do it eventually, just do it and correct course along the way"
                                                                                                                      -Tim Ferriss-

Now I am officially a "learner" but I've always wanted to write, always wanted to be heard..I kept procastinating giving one reason or another until I came accross the above quote, now I had to make a decision and ta-da- here we are!

This blog is open to anyone and everyone, (those who have had challenges and have been able to overcome them, those who are still struggling with some issues and need advice and those who have motivatonal and inspirational stories to share)  please feel free to leave comments, questions, suggestions and if you do have a story to share pls send it to my mail address( laureenokon@gmail.com) and they will be published.
I do hope this blog will be  a blessing to you and me.
Stay blessed.
